Exclusive: Applied Underwriters names Smith United Risk’s EU and UK regional CEO

Applied Underwriters has promoted Hayden Smith to regional CEO for United Risk’s EU, UK and British Commonwealth markets, the company said on Tuesday.

Smith will oversee the company’s EU, UK and British Commonwealth business and manage further expansion in those territories and other emerging markets, Applied Underwriters said.

Smith joined United Risk as a managing partner in January 2023, leading efforts to develop the company’s international platform.

‍

Applied Underwriters president, Jamie Sahara, said the promotions came as a result of market demand for specialty lines in these markets.
